Why is my name/city/country/website not correct when I comment?

Every time you post a comment on Aminus3 the comment fields (name/city/country/email/website) are saved to browser cookies. The next time you comment, the comment fields will automatically populate with any data found in those cookies, irrespective of what is specified on your account page.

If any of the comment fields are incorrect, just change them before you comment - the data will be saved to the cookies and will appear correctly the next time.

Why is there no link to my page when I post a comment on another blog?

When posting a comment on another Aminus3 blog, there is a field in the comment box called Website. You must enter your own Aminus3.com website here in the form
http://MYSITE.aminus3.com

Now your name in the comment will contain a link back to your website.

This information will be stored in a browser cookie so you do not have to enter it again. You must allow sites to save cookies in your browser or your comment settings will need to be entered every time.

Occasionally we clear site cookies when updating Aminus3.com. If the link disappears, you will need to type in the Website field again.

Can I edit or remove comments made on my photoblog?

In the comments section underneath your image, there will be a small comment edit icon (round bubble with a green plus symbol) just to the right of the commenter's country. (You must be signed in to see the icon.) Click the comment edit icon to access the comment management page where you can edit any of the comment details. At the bottom of the same form is a "Delete this comment" link if you wish to remove the comment.

How do I reply to a comment?

In the comments section underneath your image, there will be a small comment edit icon (round bubble with a green plus symbol) just to the right of the commenter's country. (You must be signed in to see the icon.) Click the comment edit icon to access the comment management page where you can add your reply in the text box labeled "My Reply".

Your reply will appear on your image page directly underneath the original comment and, if the commenter was an Aminus3 member, it will also display on the commenter's comment response page.

How do I know if someone has replied to my comments?

Check out your comment response page to see a list of all responses made to your comments.

Can I have new comments emailed to me?

Yes and it's easy to setup. On your account settings page, next to the label "Email me new comments" there are two options: (i) "From Aminus3 members" and (ii) "From all other visitors". You can choose to receive emails only when Aminus3 members comment on your site or only when non-members comment on your site or check both options to receive emails for all comments.

How does Aminus3 prevent comment spam?

Aminus3 will automatically mark suspicious comments as spam. Spam comments are not displayed to the public but you can view them on your comment spam page. Here, you can delete each spam comment or remove the spam label if the comment has been wrongly marked.

Why do my friend's comments get marked as spam?

If your friends are not members of Aminus3, their comments will go through the spam filter like every other visitor's comments. Unfortunately, we can't explain exactly how the spam filter works (otherwise the spammers will just adjust their methods accordingly) but if want more information, please contact us.
