dYe from Cambridge, United StatesGorgeous! The contrast is very effective in bringing out the classic five-petal shape of the flowers. This has been a very lovely series (I think yesterday's was my favorite so far.) I also want to thank you for all your visits and kind comments! 5 Mar 2007 6:54am @dYe: haha, always my pleasure ;) Thank you ! badala from Leiria, PortugalBeautiful. The flowers just jump right off the screen. 5 Mar 2007 6:59am @badala: hmm....sounds like 3-D? a little bit though, thanks man ! Sriram from Chennai, IndiaWow.. neatly lighted shot! Kheoh, this is really good work! 5 Mar 2007 7:46am @Sriram: You too ! Cheers ;) Aidan from Seoul, South KoreaKheoh, I like this series. This one is my favourite - I think because the colours are quite monotone compared to the others. It would be interesting to see these in black and white with more subtle lighting to bring out more of the detail. 5 Mar 2007 10:55am @Aidan: oh ya,good idea ! Thanks,Aidan ;) @Makoto: Thanks Makota ! Jason Kravitz from Brussels, Belgiumvery nice - they look great on the dark background 5 Mar 2007 11:13am @Jason Kravitz: Yeah, they do ! Thanks Jason ;) Koushiro Izumi from Singapore, SingaporeNice play with lighting effects! Really great job! 5 Mar 2007 1:20pm Craiger from Vacaville, California, United StatesGreat light capture! Really liking the past few posts, your control of the lighting and framing of your subject is very impressive. 5 Mar 2007 9:40pm Michael Zhang from New York City, United StatesWow impressive. How did you set up the lighting here? Bravo 5 Mar 2007 11:36pm Kelvin Chan from New York City, United Statesyou're right there is much contrast, but the completely black background feels unnatural to me. flower shots tends to be soft and elegant instead of edgy and in your face. nice take. 6 Mar 2007 12:07am @Kelvin Chan: Yeah, you are right about that, but I wanted to try something new perspective on flower shot ,haha,Thanks for your comment,Kelvin ;) |
