very cool photo. I've taken many similar to this too! there is something absurd about how tourists all have these cameras and point and shoot at everything! really, good photo and good idea. maybe a series like this???

Yes Zach! A series would be great, especially an arithmetic series. First you have a photographer photographing a photographer, then you have a photographer photographing a photographer photographing another photographer... and so on!

I like it very much. It's so harmonic :-)

First of all great lines i must say. There are lot of things that one can achieve with the power of imagination, you definitely did not sound stupid. Great inventions and every masterpiece(in any form) of Art are first made in the mind. As for the photograph you really depicted the drama of travel photography very well here. I had a shot in similar concept showing the drama of a photographer very much involved in his job. You have a very good job in this one here. I loved it.

I'm very tahankful for your visits to my site and the excellent feedback and lovely comments you always give. Keep up the great work I look forward to it all.

great idea and cleverly done. I've never wanted to be photographed at interesting or beautiful places because I feel I'd detract from that interest or beauty! ;-) you've shown the absurdity of it in a really cool way. top-notch!

Wonderful shot, Kheoh! Love the understated humour, and the composition is stunning - the ear is the masterstroke for me. The monochrome processing was also a great choice I think as it robs the scene of a certain amount of beauty that I'm sure the photographer in the image was capturing, and reduces it to a series of three tall forms. I've often wondered about the phenomenon of snapping oneself at famous sites around the world, as if proof was needed - "I was there!"
Mind-travelling is a futile exercise for me. My imagination is too limited, but my travel photography isn't much better. One of the things I gotta work on.

What an interesting image! It tells a story about our need of proofs of our presence in the world. Fine job!

Excellent perspective, I tend to agree with Zach there is something slightly absurd about the tourist point-and-shoot mentality. Just the other day I saw some tourists posing in front of the luis vuitton logo in the city. Great shot!
